From 1989 to 1996 I provided translation from Spanish and French to FuturePerfect Ltd, London. The company specialised in providing quality translation to the legal and financial sectors. Its principal customers, for whom I worked on a regular basis, included:

the firms of solicitors,

Clyde & Co., Shaw & Cross, Wilde Sapte, Slaughter & May, SJ Berwin & Co, Withers and Rowe & Maw;

and

Bilbao Vizcaya Bank (Jersey), Canal Trust Company Ltd (Jersey), Société Générale des Eaux, Philip Alexander (stockbrokers) and Pentland Group PLC

During the same period I also translated for:

Previous Employment

1984 to 1988

Teacher of English as a foreign language for Bilbao language academies (Eurostudy, Lanser). It was during this period that I first began to translate from Spanish and to learn Basque.

Autumn 1983 to late 1984

I spent most of the year in my home city, during which time I worked for the Belfast hospital authority as a minibus driver transporting handicapped children from their homes to special care day centres.
